The United Nations General Assembly has declared 2012 as the International Year of Cooperatives, highlighting the contribution of cooperatives to socio-economic development, in particular recognizing their impact on poverty reduction, employment generation and social integration.
The United Nations have created a logo for the International Year of Cooperatives which is based on the slogan "Cooperative Enterprises Build a Better World".
By integrating the logo into information about the ICCS, we give our credit to the United Nations and their activities for a successful "IYC 2012".
